青赤ルーン炎 (UR Runeflare)は、その名のとおりルーン炎の罠/Runeflare Trapをキーカードとした青赤デッキ。

このターン、対戦相手１人が３枚以上のカードを引いていたなら、あなたはこの呪文のマナ・コストを支払うのではなく(赤)を支払ってもよい。
プレイヤー１人を対象とする。ルーン炎の罠はそのプレイヤーに、そのプレイヤーの手札にあるカードの枚数に等しい点数のダメージを与える。
吠えたける鉱山/Howling Mineや寺院の鐘/Temple Bell、神話の水盤/Font of Mythosを置いてお互いの手札を増やし、ルーン炎の罠を唱え、さらに双つ術/Twincastや余韻/Reverberateでコピーして勝負を決める。
上記以外には、対戦相手の動きを阻害する稲妻/Lightning Boltやマナ漏出/Mana Leak、乱動への突入/Into the Roilなどが用いられる。
- 互いに手札を増やし、手札分のダメージを与えるカードで勝つという点で、かつてのハウリング・オウルに通じるものがある。
