折れ/Breakは、カラーパイ／色の役割に関する用語の一つ。「壊し」[1]やカラーパイを「破る」と訳される場合もある。

Chaos Warp / 混沌のねじれ (２)(赤)
インスタント
インスタント
パーマネント１つを対象とする。それのオーナーはそれを自分のライブラリーに加えて切り直し、その後、自分のライブラリーの一番上のカードを公開する。それがパーマネント・カードである場合、そのプレイヤーはそれを戦場に出す。
あるカードや効果が色の役割を逸脱しており、かつその色の弱点を埋めてしまうものである場合、それは「折れ」と呼ばれる。対になる概念として、色の弱点を埋めてしまうほどではない逸脱は「曲げ」と呼ばれる[2]。
曲げが場合によっては許容されるものであるのに対し、折れはいかなる場合でも許容されない。5つの色がそれぞれ弱点を持つことがマジックの重要な要素だからである。

- 土地税/Land Tax[3][4] - 白は平地をサーチすることができるが、基本土地全般のサーチが与えられるべきではない。
- 弱者の師/Mentor of the Meek - 白に与えられるドローとしては制限が軽すぎる。一時期は曲げであるという解釈がされていたが[5][6]、より白のドローについて模索していく内に折れにあたると判断された[7][8][9]。
- Gate to Phyrexia[10]、ファイレクシアへの貢ぎ物/Phyrexian Tribute[11] - 黒にアーティファクト除去が与えられるべきではない。
- 混沌のねじれ/Chaos Warp[12] - 実質的にエンチャント除去として働く場合があり、赤に与えられるべきではない。
- Anarchy[13] - 赤にエンチャント除去や無条件のクリーチャー除去が与えられるべきではない。
- スズメバチの一刺し/Hornet Sting[2]、アラクナスの蜘蛛の巣/Arachnus Web[14] - 緑には格闘やブロック強制があるが、自軍クリーチャーを介さないクリーチャー除去が与えられるべきではない。
- 砂漠の竜巻/Desert Twister、内にいる獣/Beast Within[15]、ドライアドの歌/Song of the Dryads[16] - 緑に万能パーマネント除去が与えられるべきではない。これは無条件のクリーチャー除去やプレインズウォーカー除去を含む効果である。
- 尖塔なぞり/Spire Tracerなど（いわゆる樹上能力）[17] - 攻撃時限定ではあるが事実上の飛行であり、緑に与えられるべきではない。
